Jason Klarer, MA, LPC

  • Feeling depressed, disconnected from reality, angry, or anxious? Have a history of trauma and don't know why it still bothers you? Maybe you would like to change, but don't feel comfortable talking with friends and family about what you are experiencing. Maybe you find that substance use is just easier than talking it through, but see your signs and symptoms of addiction getting worse.

I am licensed in the state of Arizona. I specialize in counseling individuals and couples who may feel isolated and depressed, anxious about the future, or angry and reactive. I have over 7 years of experience as a professional and several more as a lay person providing individual counseling, couples counseling, and group therapy services for people in the process of mental health recovery in a variety of different settings.

In therapy, both couples and individual therapy, you are welcome to discuss anything with me without fear of judgement. I have an extensive history in working with trauma and also severe cases of trauma. I believe that trauma, or various experiences, are factors in many individual and relational difficulties without us even noticing sometimes.

I am a trained EMDRIA EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) therapist. I also am a Prepare/Enrich certified couples therapy facilitator.

I also have an extensive background in helping those who are battling addiction, would like to change, or are in long-term recovery and would like to talk with someone.

Even small things in our past, that we may believe do not affect us, in reality may actually be contributing to various difficulties upon closer examination.
