Preparing for Your Interview
We're excited to learn more about you. Here's what to expect in our conversation.
-
Please be prepared to discuss your experience, education, skills, and background — including your current work setting and, if applicable, where you are in your master's program, anticipated graduation date, or supervision hours.
-
To help you prepare, we'll be covering the following topics during our conversation:
Clinical modalities you have experience with, as well as those you're interested in learning
Client topics/issues you've worked with previously, are interested in working with, feel most comfortable with, and feel least confident with
How you measure progress and success in therapy with a client
How you build rapport and trust with a client
How you handle seeing areas of needed growth in a client and assess their readiness for feedback
A description of a challenging case and how you handled it (please exclude PHI)
How you would handle a topic that comes up in therapy that you don't have knowledge or training in
How clients would describe you and/or what it's like to have you as their therapist
What support you're looking for from a practice — whether professional development or supervision needs for licensure
-
We'll also walk you through the specifics of the position, including:
Session hours and expected caseload
What supervision looks like at Flourish Together
Our W2 employment structure, including pay
Health insurance and other benefits
PTO and sick leave
CEU stipend for continuing education
Our incentive bonus for associates who reach six months of employment with a full caseload
We want you to leave the interview with a clear picture of what working here looks like, so please come with any questions you have about compensation, schedule, or support.
-
In some cases, we may invite you to a second interview. This often happens when your licensure requirements call for supervision from a specific therapist within our practice — for example, due to state regulations or the type of licensure you're pursuing. If this applies to you, we'll connect you with that supervisor so you can get to know one another and make sure it's the right fit before moving forward. Not every candidate will need a second interview, but if we ask you to schedule one, it simply means we're being thoughtful about pairing you with the right supervisory support.
-
We encourage you to come prepared with thoughtful questions of your own — about the role, the team, supervision, or anything that would help you decide if Flourish Together is the right fit for your life and career goals. We want you to leave with the information you need, not just the answers we need.
-
We believe in being upfront with you. You shouldn't walk away from an interview wondering where you stand with us. If we feel it's a strong fit, we'll tell you. If we don't think it's the right fit, we'll tell you that too. Our goal is to give you clarity, not uncertainty, so you can move forward with confidence either way.
